This past weekend we accomplished a successful EMDR group workshop. Using a popular evidenced-based group protocol 17 women processed the worst and most disturbing parts of the invasion of Ukraine. Our team is grateful to the society of Ivan Franko who hosted our event and helped make the workshop a huge success Ivan Franko Society With the help of Ivan Franko Society we had wonderful volunteers to help with food and childcare. We also had volunteers from the Ukrainian community help our team ensure the safety of the children and provide a community for the participants.
Our next group will take place Sept 17th – 18th. We are currently looking for a new host for our next group as well as volunteers to ensure this next successful group for Ukrainian women suffering from ongoing traumatic stress.
