Online EMDR is just as effective as in-person EMDR. Individuals facing the challenges of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) often encounter triggers that heighten anxiety or lead to hyperarousal, making sessions more demanding. However, being in a familiar home environment—surrounded by the comfort of pets, soothing tea, or the calming scents of your favorite aromatherapy—can provide grounding support. EMDR can be embraced through various methods beyond eye movements. In my practice, I utilize a remote EMDR board, offering innovative options for bilateral stimulation through both movement and sound. If you are struggling with negotiating traffic, parking spots, noise, crowds or exhaustion online EMDR provides a great solution to receive treatment in the comfort of your home.
